| Summary of Position: Provides leadership and direction to the Ahold Organizations in developing the Business Continuity Recovery (BCR) strategies and plans. Provides business recovery, technical guidance and assistance to all Ahold organizations in developing BCR test objectives and priorities. Executes the BCR test process. 1 Key Result Areas/Essential Functions: 1. Leads and coordinates the BCR team members in efforts to test and restore business systems, telecommunications, and applications. Reviews and evaluates plans on a regular basis and verifies their readiness. 2. Conducts detail reviews of the BCR plans and procedures to verify their technical accuracy and completeness. Follows up with the appropriate Ahold associates to update and document plans that are out of date. Coordinates with the Managers at the Ahold organizations to schedule BCR tests and to obtain the manpower required for test purposes 3. Coordinates the BCR test process to verify that tests are adequately planned, coordinated, and conducted. Ensure that tests are held on a regular basis and communicate the results to upper Management. Conducts post test reviews to evaluate test results and to determine where improvements can be made in the BCR process. 4. Identifies the BCR teams that are needed to effectively execute BCR recovery tests. Communicates these requirements to Upper management to gain support and the necessary resources. Identifies the leader of each team and instructs them on their role as a team leader. 5. Conducts evaluations of the Offsite Storage and Disaster Recovery Hot-Site vendors to determine vendor compliance to Ahold requirements. Works with the Operating Company Management teams to determine what mission critical hardware should be under contract or if alternate resources are available. 6. Presents the BCR standards to all Ahold organizations, which establish consistent approaches and procedures designed to protect the Ahold organizations from prolonged business interruptions. Effectively communicates these standards to all levels of the Ahold companies to ensure that the documentation and test processes are in place for all Ahold USA companies. 7. Maintains an expert knowledge of all system technologies utilized by the Ahold organizations. Based on the technologies employed, determines what recovery practices and/or routines should be utilized to restore the Ahold systems in the event of a disaster. Additional Responsibilities 1. Maintains a close working relationship with all members of operating companies, user departments, and stores involved in projects to ensure that business continuity practices and procedures are adhered too. 2. Maintains and ensures complete confidentiality of all client and company information.
